Burns Night. A tribute to Robert Burns.

There will be thousands of celebrations just like this one around the world this weekend, as there are every year at this time, to commemorate Scotland’s National Bard; Robert Burns.

His genius gave us the likes of Auld Lang Syne, My Love is like a Red Red Rose, Now Westlin’ Winds and countless other songs and poems, many of which will be recited and sung during this evening show. There will be stories also, and general hilarity, and lots and lots of singing. This show is a two decade tradition in the Gatineau Hills, come along and be a part of history. Haggis, Neeps and Tatties will be available.

ECOSSE, are a collection of seasoned, journeymen musicians of the folk/Celtic variety led by Bobby Watt. Bobby’s voice has been described more than once as “the best male voice in Traditional Music, anywhere”. Alongside him for this special tribute to the work of Robert Burns, will be James Stephens, Pat Maher and Greg Brown. All brilliant multi-instrumentalists with great voices of their own. Not to be missed!
