aniqa dear is an experimental electronic art pop project stemming from the Pakistani/Indian and Arabic influences of songwriter, artist, performer, and music educator Aniqa Qadir. It is rooted in queerness, migration, otherness, rebirth, and the eternally intertwining dance between belonging and isolation. Her music is striking in its clarity, even as it draws you down into your own abyss.

Kalila Badali is an alternative folk/pop artist and registered psychotherapist based in Toronto, Canada. Kalila’s music invites her audience into an ethereal, yet groovy space with an intricate guitar picking style and vocal loops to explore the intersecting themes of mental illness, ecology, and feminism.

Aniqa and Kalila will be presenting a night of intimate, one-of-a-kind, vulnerable sets. They will be stretching their work to bring you into the rawest moments of their creation and giving the audience a rare opportunity to witness their art as it has never been seen before.
